Background Emmanuel Obiajuru OMEMBU is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Languages (French Unit), Faculty of Arts, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. He was born on July 1, 1988 in Ibadan and hails from Idumuesah in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State. He holds an M.A in Francophone Caribbean Literature from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and is currently preparing a PhD thesis in the area of Francophone Caribbean Literature at University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. He also holds a PGDE from the University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and a B.A (Hons.) in Linguistics (French Option) from Ebonyi State University, Abakalikki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He also holds a Diplômed’Etudes de Langue Française from InstitutUniversitaireSonou’Afrique, Porto-Novo, Bénin Republic. His research interests are in Francophone Caribbean Literature, Francophone African Literature, Language and Communication and French as a Foreign Language (Français Langue Etrangère, FLE). He has published in the area of Francophone Caribbean Literature and African Literature in French. His articles have featured in national and international journals such as Jos Journal of Foreign Languages and Literatures (JJoFFiT), Journal of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies (JOFLATS), International Journal of Advances in Engineering and Management (IJAEM) etc. Emmanuel Obiajuru OMEMBU is a member of different professional bodies such as University French Teachers Association of Nigeria (UFTAN) and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Delta, Agbor Branch. He is married to Isioma OMEMBU and the marriage is blessed with a beautiful lovely child.
