Background Odia, Augusta Uche is a lecturer in the department of Languages (Linguistics unit) faculty of Arts, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics (B.A. Linguistics) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in the year 2000. She also bagged her Master of Arts in Linguistics degree (M.A. Linguistics) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in the year 2010. Currently, she is researching for phD in Linguistics at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. She is a member of different professional bodies such as Association of Nigerian Languages Teacher (ANLAT), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Association of Nigerian Teachers (ASSONT), Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU). She has participated in different international and national conferences. She has many journal articles. She was the Head of the Department of Nigerian Languages in the defunct College of Education, Agbor from 2020-2021. She is married with children.
